This coffee is of the Typica variety, grown at 1500-1700 masl and fully washed. The organic coffee is smooth and creamy with a delicate fruitiness and notes of toasted almonds, chocolate and dried fruit.
Recommended Brewing Method
We recommend brewing this coffee with either a filter or a french press. If you are feeling adventurous, you could try brewing it on an AeroPress.
The southern part of Oaxaca region is situated just next to the pacific ocean, where this coffee is grown on high slopes facing the ocean. The unique combination of sea winds and high altitudes provides a great microclimate for growing this coffee. The coffee is grown by indigenous communities and sold by cooperatives, who in turn educate the farmers in various courses like replantation, organic composting, soil nutrition and the like. This is all to make the troubled region more sustainable, both socially and environmentally.
