This organic coffee is solely composed of the red boubon variety and is characterised by heavy notes of fruit and cocoa. Briliant on it's own, but if you add milk the fruit steps backward allowing a very full cup of coffee with a dominant taste of chocolate. A medium roasted coffee with emphasis on the sweet potentials of the bean, downplaying the acidic notes.
Recommended Brewing Method
We recommend that you brew this coffee for filter or French press. however, you could try it as an espresso if you're in for something new.
The coffee is sourced through an empowerment project called Womens Coffee Extension, dedicated to educating and empowering women in the troubled region of Rwanda. Traditionally, women aren't a part of the decision making in pricing and marketing, WCE aims to change this, as well as educating the women in sustainable production and optimization of the yield.
Among the results, the members now have access to basic health insurance and other basic necesities. In short, this is truly a cup of good taste and conscience.
